Three key early stereoviews in excellent condition by western photographer TH Sullivan for the 1873 George M Wheeler Expedition through the West. The Wheeler survey photos are famous for introducing the rural American west to America in the 1870s. This group is comprised of no19, group of Zuni Indian Braves at their Pueblo in New Mexico. This photo shows Sullivan's large format camera sitting in the lower right corner of the photograph. No 29 Coyotoro Apache Scouts at Apache Lake, Sierra Blanca range Arizona. A member of the Wheeler expedition is shown sitting on a rock behind 2 Indians with his rifle. No. 34 Pedro, Captain of one of the Coyotoro bands in his Washington Costume.
