A collection of 4 different Art Nouveau postcards featuring the illustrations of Belgian artist Henri Meunier (1873-1922), with four different publishers and four different styles of signatures, from about 1900-1910s. Only 1 has publisher name printed (on front): Verlag E. Arenz Wien L No. 516." Two others have titles printed on front: "Bonsoir!" and "Le chic a Paris."One appears deckle (rough) edged. Two unused, 2 penned writing on verso, 1 of them postmarked 1911, Brussels. Meunier worked as an engraver, book binder, as well as an illustrator and poster designer of the Belle Epoque period. He was a go-to artist for Art Nouveau imagery for posters and illustrations. His art was in high demand around Brussels in 1900. Aside from drawing many posters and designing quite a few postcards, all lithographic compositions, Meunier also was an etcher. For more information on the Art Nouveau movement, see Lot #185447.
