This is a postcard designed by Alphonse Mucha, c1900. No. 443. Design for a Postcard. R-4. Lady with blonde hair, dressed in green, faces right. Hands touch flowers in hair. Curved line frame ends with arabesques at lower left and right. Two postmarks, stamp, penned address and stamped in ink "Stampati" on verso. One postmark shows through to design on front. Light staining on front corners due to being in an album.
This is one of the first three cards in the 3rd Series consisting of untitled designs or vignettes for postcards. Each card is of the horizontal format with the image occupying about half of the front. The 12 cards in the 3rd Series issued by Champenois consist of three vignette designs, another set of four seasons of different designs, and Salome, Crepuscule, Aurore, Primevere, and La Plume.
