26 cancelled Income Gold B Scrip, Dated 1894 coupons attached. Nice vignettes of trains and trains being cleaned. Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway was chartered in Feb. 1859. Railroad reached Kansas-Colorado border in 1873 and Pueblo, CO, in 1876. Main line never served Santa Fe, NM, land too difficult. Railway line dealt in intermodal freight transportation and included a tugboat fleet, an airline, bus line and ferryboats on the San Francisco Bay allowed travelers to complete their westward journeys to the Pacific Ocean. The line was the subject of a popular song, Harry Warren and Johnny Mercer's "On the Atchison, Topeka and the Santa Fe," written for the film, The Harvey Girls (1946).
