"Santa Fe Route." Issued to WH Holabird (Fred's great grandfather) in 1895. Blue cardstock. Some paper residue on reverse. The Atlantic and Pacific Railroad was a U.S. railroad that operated two disjointed segments: one connecting St. Louis, Missouri with Tulsa, Oklahoma, and the other connecting Albuquerque, New Mexico with Southern California. WH Holabird would acquire distressed railroads for Southern Pacific. He was also a financier for Western resort hotels (like Hotel del Coronado).
