Spectacular mining cover! Large (4.5 x 8.5") envelope with two great vignettes: cross-section of mountains with locomotive running through tunnel; and vignette of miner and mule pushing ore cart out of mine. MM Pomeroy is listed as president in Denver. Cover has text explaining company: "Sixty miles due west from Denver, Colorado, cuts more than 200 fissure veins of Silver Ore at right angles thousands of feet below their surface..." Sent to HS Frye in North Bloomfield, CA. Very faint Denver postmark. 1884 North Bloomfield received on reverse. Tears, some toning. Perfect companion piece to the stock for the company which features similar graphics.
