Incorporated under the laws of the State of Colorado in the 1870's. by M.M. "Brick" Pomeroy. Company was organized to build a tunnel through the crest of the Rockies 58 miles West of Denver. While no railroad was ever constructed, largely due to Mr. Pomeroy's failing health and eventual death in 1896, the five mile tunnel project was a huge undertaking with about a mile completed on the east side and some work was done on the west side. Bond No 226 for $250, series B, first mortgage 8 percent (due March 1, 1907). signed by president M.M.
