Atolia¾is a¾ghost town¾in the¾Mojave Desert¾near¾Randsburg. It was at the site of a¾tungsten¾mine that started¾production¾about 1905. The community was named after two mining company officials,¾Atkins¾and¾DeGolia. At one time there were 2000 people living there. Atolia was on the¾Randsburg Railway¾line and once hosted a¾dairy, a¾movie theater, and the¾Bucket of Blood¾saloon. One Atolia Mining Company letterhead 1919. One Atolia Mining Company billhead.
