Contains a banded epithermal silver and gold ore vein. Cut to see the vein, but it is a large enough specimen to see the vein run in its natural state through the rock. Nice Specimen. From the Boyle Tunnel in Como, Nevada. 18.82 troy ounces. 7.5 x 8.0 x 7.5 cm. Named for mining engineer and later Nevada Governor Ed Boyle. This is a choice specimen, with much native gold visible in the vein. It would cut nicely into slabs of high grade. If you collect good gold specimens from Nevada mines, you'll want this one. State:Nevada City:Como Date: ID#46678
