John is telling his brother that "the Bank" would be better off waiting until October when he could pay his debt than suing him and waiting 18 months for the suit to clear the courts. He goes on to say that he hopes that for their interest (to say nothing of his own) that they will comply with his request! Milligan Patrick Quillian was born on January 18, 1811 and passed away on February 24, 1894. John Bolton Chapel Quillian was a circuit-riding reverend and Milligan's brother. He was born on October 27, 1824 and passed away on May 29, 1891. Both could have been related to Lewis W Quillian the director of the Dahlonega Mint under the Confederate States. Rips at fold intersections. Two on the side without writing are extensive. Remains of red seal. Hand-written '6' applied for the cost. 7.5 x 6". Two pages 7.5 x 12".
