A group of 4 books on the history of Austin, Nevada, a mining town founded in the 1860s in response to Nevada's silver rush. The lot includes one first edition copy of 'The Sazerac Lying Club', a satirical book based on Austin initially published in 1878. Other titles in the lot include 'The Town That Died Laughing' by Oscar Lewis; 'Austin and the Reese River Mining District' by Donald Abbe; and 'This Life I've Loved' by Isobel Field, which discusses Nevada's Reese River. Lot is in generally good condition; 'Sazerac Lying Club' has some wear on cover and spine.
