A group of 7 books on the history of Austin, Nevada, a mining town founded in the 1860s in response to Nevada's silver rush. The lot includes one second edition copy of 'The Sazerac Lying Club', a satirical book based on Austin initially published in 1878. Other titles in the lot include 'Martha and the Doctor' by Marvin Lewis; 'Here Is Our Valley' and 'Under the Mountain' by Molly Knudtsen; 'The Town That Died Laughing' by Oscar Lewis; 'Austin and the Reese River Mining District' by Donald Abbe; 'The Story of Austin, Nevada, and the Nevada Central Railroad' by Stan and Michael Brown; and 'The Lincoln Highway: Nevada, Vol. 5' by Gregory Franzwa and Jesse Petersen. Generally good condition, 'Sazerac Lying Club' has some wear on cover and spine.
