This is a section from the "Austin daily Statesman" newspaper, dated June 9, 1894 and containing the story of the death of Dalton Gang member, Bill Dalton in Pooleville, Oklahoma on June 8, the day before this article came out (Not quite the Internet, but that news spread pretty quick).
Besides the news articles. there are several advertisements for everything from Royal Baking Powder to a cruise ship known as "Steamer Ben Hur."
