Autographed postcard of President Lyndon Johnson's press secretary George E. Reedy. Reedy succeeded Kennedy press secretary, Pierre Salinger, who resigned the position in March, 1964, about four months after Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas. The text on the card is a reply to someone as to whether Reedy had any contact with Mrs. Kennedy, during his tenure as assistant press secretary in the White House. He relates a story about retrieving a chandelier gifted to the Senate by Teddy Roosevelt, and returning it to the Executive Mansion. [ Washington DC
