c1922 Letters signed by famous WWII Raider, Doolittle. It looks like fellow pilot D. J. Lingle got into a jam or sorts when he crashed an SE5 bi-plane in Antonio, Texas in May of 1922. Friend, and fellow pilot, James Doolittle was on-site and wrote an affidavit at Lingle's request. Two letters are here with Doolittle's signature. The affidavit is signed in black ink with the right edge torn. A great read from an American aviation hero. "Jimmy" Doolittle was given the Congressional Medal of Honor for valor for commanding the Doolittle Raid on Tokyo against many odds of survival in 1942. [] [] [] [] []
