The copper carbonate minerals Azurite and Malachite are two of the world's most popular collectible mineral species. This azurite/malachite specimen is from a small, now closed, underground locality in eastern China. The mine yielded attractive azurite specimens from small pockets (typically less than 12" across) which occurred randomly in an iron gossan formation. The Liufengshan mine was a prolific specimen producer in the late 1990's to about 2010. Dimensions (cm): 3 H x 8 W x 5 D.
