Letter from Thomas Williams to sister Mary. Jimmy was in Weaverville in 1859. Now on Yuba River about 1/2 mile from Badger Hill. John McDonald and Jimmy [Patterson?] bought a claim. They are expecting great things form the claim when they can work it this summer. Handwritten 'paid 20' on envelope, but no cancel. Great piece of postal history. Letter has some rips at folds, but in good condition. City: Middle Yuba State: California Date: February 15, 1860 hwac# 33389
