Pollock (Honorable James Pollock), and John Wiest, Treasurer. Printed by Jas. B. Rodgers. Size 10.5" by 7" inches. Nice. Rare! Only 3 of this certificate are known. Set of 4 Documents. 1. Stock Certificate: Miner Vignette top left, Mining Scene Vignette Top Center, Art from Seal of Colorado and State Motto at top left. Embossed Seal of Incorporation bottom left, 25 Revenue Stamp bottom right. Uncancelled. Signed by Edwin Booth, Vice President. (1833-1893) Booth was a famous actor who played Shakespearean roles, especially noted for Hamlet Performance. Opened Booth's Theatre in 1869. Brother was John Wilkes Booth, the actor who shot President Lincoln. Property: Baker Claim, 1500 x 3000 feet, patented; located in 1860 situated on Kelso Mountain, East Argentine Mining District, 13 miles from Georgetown, course of vein, east and west, average width was 15 feet, pitch 45 degrees north; nature of ore: sulphurets and galena with an average value of $200 per ton; main shaft, 480 feet deep in 1879.
