#50 for 20 shares issued to F. S. Grosolnor(?) on May 30, 1863 in Dayton, Nevada. Signed by A. W. Russell as secretary and F. H. Kennedy as president. Incorporated on May 11, 1863. Native American and a dog guarding bars of gold vignettes. Creases. Light discoloration bottom. "Location: Palmyra District, Lyon Co., N. T." The Palmyra district was 8 miles southeast of Dayton high up on a mountain. It was organized in 1862 when miners from the Comstock were branching out. The mining camp of Como was the scene of a phantom Indian confrontation. No information found on the mine. Russell was a county recorder for Lyon County when Nevada was still a Territory. Kennedy was the youngest member of the Constitutional Convention. He was a district attorney in Storey County and White Pine County. Story of the phantom Indian battle and notes on Kennedy included.
