Two bank account books. One is a 17 x 10.25-inch binding with a set of perforated check stubs on blue paper numbered from 6301 to 6799, with each number appearing on a half-page, horizontal row of 3-3/8 x 5-inch, tear-out forms that record "Received from ___ the sum of $ ___ for a Check of this date and number in favor of ___ amounting to ___ drawn on ___." No blank checks remain in the register, but the last recorded check was #6740. The stubs closest to the binding indicate funds received in foreign currency such as British Pounds-Shillings-Pence, French Francs, German Marks, or Dutch Guilders and funds dispersed by the check in US Dollars. For example, 5 pounds were received, and $25 were disbursed by check; 25 Guilders were received and $10.15 were disbursed; 5,000 Marks came in, and $1,200 went out; 2565 Francs came in and $500 went out. The only clue to the bank name is Receipt 6709 on which is stamped Daly Bank & Trust Co. of Butte. The second book is an 8.5 x 14-inch, 200-page ledger with column headings of Bank, Gen. Expenses, Purchases, and Sundries (or Ledger). Several loose sales tickets have the name Galaxy Drug Co., Inc., Butte, Montana at the top. Pages are full from page 2 through 200 with only three blank pages. Date range is January 1917 through September 1924.
