Four items relating to a bank robbery that took place in Berkeley in 1930. 1) Newspaper clipping showing bank employees who were present for hold-up. 2) 3" x 3" photograph of the robber, identified on the back as Jerome T. Read. 3) A business card from Clarence D. Lee, Captain of Police in Berkeley, with a typed message on reverse: "Please look at this now and then so you wont forget the face. Thanx." 4) Small handwritten note: "Newspaper clippings to Donald B. Reese" in Beverly Hills. Newpaper articles indicate Read, also known as Palmer, escaped prison in Florida.
