$20 proof bank note in PMG holder, graded 61 Uncirculated. Tape repaired. Native American vignette at upper right, and allegorical vignette at left. Oval vignette at center with text "Countersigned and Registered in the Auditors Office." Printed by Danforth, Bald & Co., Cincinnati. 3 x 7.25" Eight hole punches. Purple stamp on reverse, "Property of American Bank Note Co." Two tape repaired tears evident on reverse (and noted on PMG holder). Bank was in business 1852-1854 and failed in the Panic of 1854.
