Rare, gorgeous original hand-sewn Native American brain tan buckskin (white, not smoked) beaded dress with 20 genuine abalone shells attached at the fringe. The bead work is in style of Plateau Indicans, (Nez Perce, Umatilla) lazy stitch technique. It is approximately a women's size 10-12. This dress shows some evidence of being worn: there are tiny holes at back waist area, perhaps from a belt worn with the item. Please inspect. The dress is approximately 44" in length measured from the nape of neck. This beautiful dress is a work of art to be enjoyed as is and displayed.
