The Beretta model 1934 pistol:

While in Sicily, Frank Ford picked-up from captured Italian soldiers this model 1934 .380 cal. semi-automatic pistol. Beretta produced this model based on the German Walther PP and PPK models. This particular piece has original bluing S/N 6929XX. Original hard rubber Beretta logo-ed grips with European mag. release and finger piece magazine like the Walther. This Beretta is marked "Gardone V.T. 1938-XVI" and is proof marked RE under a crown.



The F.B. Radom model P35 pistol:

This is a WWII bring-back of a Nazi marked Polish made 1911 style 9MM semi-automatic pistol. This is an early gun S/N G52XX. The Radom pistols were copies of Browning's 1911 semi-automatic pistol. They were made in Poland and the factory was captured by the Nazis for production. The Nazis later proofed all existing stock and new manufactured P35s with Jewish slave labor in charge of the Radom factory and continued production of the P35 until the end of the war. Thereby supplying Nazi troops in other occupied territories. This particular P35 was picked up by Frank Ford while in Germany during WWII and was modified and carried by him during that time. This particular piece has a modified 1911 grip and 1911 hammer. It is currently missing the magazine. This Radom P35 is in Frank Ford's personal 1942 marked Boyt U.S. holster.



These two guns are being sold as a lot ot two as a tribute to Captain Frank Ford United States Army.



Frank Ford's WWII career is as follows:

Frank continued his service during WWII, spending three years on overseas duty in Rabat, Morocco; Algiers, Algeria; and Sardinia before the Thirty-third finally entered France at Marseille, as part of the advance to the Rhine, continuing on to Munich, Germany, where he was stationed when the unconditional surrender of all German forces to the Allies was signed on May 7, 1945. Upon his return home to the States via the SS Argentina in early 1946, Frank was honorably discharged with the rank of Captain. (Shreveport, La. obituary)



Frank operated the first radio station in Shreveport and was also a successful insurance agent.
