Vignette of three figures on top center of certificate 1) woman with wings holding light in center, man on right with hammer and wheel and women on left with ax, flag shield and basket of food. "Information, rather than Persuasive Sales Talk" was the advertising slogan. Incorp. Oct. 1915 and presented finished cars at the Philadelphia Auto Show in Jan. 1916. Ad appearing in Life Magazine in 1917 confirmed that the car was "assembled" from parts produced by others, including a top-quality Duesenberg motor that showed off its' European styling. Both the less-wordy and poetic copy and image using oriental minimalism represented the high standard of design. Biddle was one of more than 2000 US car makers in the first quarter of the 20th century, who failed to survive the pressure of mass-production and national distribution in the late teens and the competition imposed by corporate consolidations in the early 1920's.
