This is a lot of three photos depicting family life on the open Kansas and Oklahoma range. These are B&W photos; James Smith on his homestead in Hunnewell, KS who also took a claim in the Oklahoma race for land. He had a strong horse, a dog, a wife, and six children., 5 in. x 7in. The other two photos are of homesteaders from the Ok. race, 4.5 in. X 7.5 in. All are mounted on hard back paper.
