Small California Historical Society stamp on reverse. 4 x 9" According to mindat.org, the Blue Ledge Quartz Mine was located at Willow Valley. The Kelsey district is in northwestern El Dorado County. It is that portion of the Mother Lode gold belt that extends from the vicinity of the town of Kelsey northwest to Garden Valley. The area was placer mined shortly after Marshall's discovery in 1848.
