Extremely rare billhead for the Bodie Brewery, operated by Nicholas Carion, Manufacturer of Beer, Porter, and Ale, South Main Street. Vignette at upper left of beer barrels, crates, and cigar boxes. Dateline: Bodie, Cal., January 10th, 1892. Bill for 20 gallons of beer sold to the Miners Union. Could this have been the bill for a New Years celebration 10 days before? Reverse has signatures of Jas. Borland and an illegible name. Printer: Bodie Miner Job Pr. Condition: very poor. Heavy soiling, toning, two spindle holes, water damage, rough right and left edges, and portions of another document glued to the back. Even with these condition issues, billheads from Bodie are tough to come by, and this one is truly scarce!
