Lot of 5. 1) Best is an 1880 handwritten promissory note for the Mono County Bank for $500 in gold coin. Signed by TC Sharp and WP Holmes. Dateline Bodie, Cal March 8th, 1880. Reverse has notations. Mono County Bank is the rare bank for Bodie collectibles. 5.25 x 8" 2) Two billheads for JS Cain (1902 and 1905), who essentially ran Bodie at the turn of the last century and protected it until it became a park. These documents relate to banking transactions with Carson City. 3) Cute highly detailed map of the Bodie Mining District taken from the 1882 Bradstreet Pocket Atlas. Great reference. Measures approx 3 x 5.25 inches. Some toning and other wear. 4) Admission ticket for the Coming Men of America's Literary and Musical Entertainment, held at the Miners Union Hall, Monday, May 7th, 1906.
