Lot of three nice examples for this dead post office. 1) April 14th postmark ties two 3c Department of Interior stamps. 2) October 25. Same cancel. Addressed to Colonel Pile in Washington D. C. Pile seems to have commanded a regiment in Missouri during the Civil War. 3) Advertising corner for Drain & Snider, general merchandise. Handwritten Sandy Creek School, Elinor Holder, $25.00. Five Sc 267 stamps. CDS postmark.
