Datelined San Francisco, signed by Osborn as vice president and Tho. H. Lent as secretary. No vignette, company name ornately written in black with black border. G.T. Brown & Co., SF. Folds, pinholes. William H. Lent was a Comstock financier. It is said that at one time or other he had invested in nearly all major Comstock Mines. Many of them were early investments to help the company get started. He eventually moved on to Bodie where he had investments in the Bechtel, Big, Pittsburgh, Bull-Domingo, Black Hawk Gold, J and K, Bodie, etc.
