Group of six books related to Proctor, Vermont and two prominent Vermont politicians, Redfield Proctor and Mortimer R. Proctor.
A) Proctor: The Way It Was published by the Proctor Historical Society in 1975. This book is full of historical photographs of Proctor with descriptions of each. 9 x 6, 59 pages, good condition.
B) Two copies Proctor: The Story of a Marble Town by David C. Gale. Published in 1922 by the Vermont Printing Company. This is a history of the settlement and growth of the town. 9.25 x 6.25, 260 pages each, very good condition.
C) Redfield Proctor Memorial Addresses in the Senate of the United States on January, 9, 1909, and in the House of Representatives on January 10, 1909. Contains copies of memorial speeches made after the death of Redfield Proctor, a prominent politician from Vermont. He was the state's 37th governor, a US Senator, and the Secretary of War for President Benjamin Harrison.
D) Two copies of Pleasant Memories from Public Life, 1932-1952, by Mortimer Robinson Proctor. Mortimer R. Proctor was the 62nd lieutenant governor and 66th governor or Vermont. One copy is inscribed, " To Mortimer, to share with you memories of some interesting years , Dad. September 11, 1964." 9.25 x 6.25, good condition.
