Lot of 2 different. This company was the 1882 reorganization of the Sanford Steamship Co., with service between Bangor, Maine and Boston, Mass. The steamers for this company were collectively known as the "Boston Boats." It later became consolidated in the Eastern Steamship Lines. 1) Pass no. 226 issued to WH Gatzmer in 1883. Preprinted signature of supt. James Littlefield. Signed by the treasurer. Vignette of steamer looking head-on. 2) Pass no. 1284, issued for 1886 to FH Odiorne, the company director. Steamship vignette and fancy logo. Printed on cardstock. Staining on left side, front and back.
