Not seen before by FH. Location of Mines: Ten Mile Consolidated Mining District, Colorado (printed at lower left). The Tenmile District was first identified by Hollister (1867) and described as all the sections drained by Tenmile Creek. It was listed by Henderson (1926) as the Consolidated Tenmile, and he included within it the Wilkinson, Frisco, Robinson and Kokomo Districts. No. 274, issued for 1,000 shares to A.W. Powers on Oct. 7th, 1881 in Denver. Signed by Edward Heloff (?) as president and H.E. Irons (?) as secretary. Not cancelled. Ornate logo. Printed by Hamilton Print, Boston. Deep folds with some separation, pinholes, and areas of heavy toning. 7.5 x 11.25" According to the 1884 Report of the Directory of the Mint, the company owned 7 claims on Sheep Mountain, all adjacent to the Robinson Cons. Mining Co. property. No ore was mined in 1883. The best prospect was a shaft on the Zonars Lode "designed to tap the Robinson ore-chute on its dip", but it was abandoned before reaching the necessary depth (pg.427).
