Owen dealt with silver, coal and lumber when the area was part of the Utah Territory. # 1 for 10 shares to N. S. Bowen. Signed by McGan(?) and president J. Warner. Dateline Virginia 1863. Incorporated September 1863. 25c Certificate revenue stamp. Not cancelled. Light magenta safety paper. Enterprise Print. 'BOWEN OWEN' in underprint. Nick upper left. Light wrinkles. In 1861 N. S. Bowen was involved in mining, coal and lumber on the Comstock in the Utah and Nevada Territories. In 1860 Warner was living in Virginia City, Utah Territory. He and partner Munckton had early drug stores in Virginia City, Carson City and Aurora. The Territorial Enterprise printed hundreds of stock certificates under five different imprints. The 'Enterprise Job Print' was the rarest with only two known stock certificates and a total of five stocks extant. The other certificate was the Gilmore Gold and Silver Mining Company.
