There are two wood box compasses: a David White marked: "U.S. Eng. Dept./ David White Co/ Milwaukee, Wis,/ 1918" on the cover. 3.125 in. X 3.125 in. This was likely used by the Army in WW1. Nickel silver catch, Polished silver cards, North is marked with the fleur de lis. In working order. Slight crack in the wood at one hinge. A second compass is a Thomas Jefferson Memorial Foundation box compass. At 2.5 in. X 2.5 in. Marked on the bottom from Monticello. Please see photos for details.
