The Unconquered (Breaking Through at Abinaki Pass) By Micheal Boyett. Large Pewter Sculpture, 30x16x9, signed on metal, 1993, 283 of 950, Chilmark with Logo. Spectacular metal sculpture with pioneers and a Conestoga wagon leading up through a hand cut roadway in a rock bound pass. Exceptional detail and workmanship. Multi metal: brass, pewter and steel wire. Horses have California Bells. Human and horse figures are very life like. Scene is of a rushed pioneer team under attack by Indians, with arrows embedded in wagon.
