Compliments of Isaac Van Horn & Co., bankers in Boston with operating headquarters in Laramie, Wyoming. Van Horn writes the preface. “Illustrated and embellished with views of one of the most resourceful yet undeveloped sections of the Rocky Mountain region and of a city therein containing a present population of about eight thousand people, which in a very few years is destined to contain a population of more than one hundred thousand people and become a great city.” A promotional book put out by The Van-Horn Miller Co-operative Trust to attract investors for the development of the natural resources of Wyoming. The plan called for the establishment of the Laramie, Hahns Peak & Pacific Railway Company. The front portraits are of Isaac Van Horn, investment banker, and Frederick A. Miller who managed the Trust office in Laramie, Wyoming. Testimonial letters are included. This was a mammoth promotional scheme that involved all aspects of development. See photograph for staining on front and spine cover. Other than that the book is in very nice condition. 140 pages. [Rarity: i]City: County: State: WYDate:
