1865. Number 720. For the route between Morrow & Zanesville. Signed by president E. Gest. He has a lengthy, somewhat stormy, and frequently controversial association with railroads in the Middle West and West. (In 1887 he would take charge of the NCO in Nevada for one.) This line was a reorganized Circleville, Zanesville & Trinity Railroad in 1863. In 1870 the Pennsylvania took control of the line. Rare! One in a series of 1865 passes issued to H Nichols of the Naugatuck Railroad. Pass was issued to Horace Nichols. He was employed by the railroad from its inception in 1848 until 1880.
