Very rare; we've never sold this. No. 204, issued for 20 shares in 1886. Signed by president Geo. Baker and secretary Hughes. Not cancelled. Allegorical vignettes. Folds, toning. We found mention in 1880 Minneapolis Journal mentioning that Minneapolis stockholders owned most of this mine in Nevada. Bristol, Nevada, was a mining town established in the 1870s in Lincoln County after the discovery of rich silver and lead deposits. At its peak in the late 19th century, it featured smelters, a post office, and numerous businesses supporting a bustling mining community. Like many Nevada boomtowns, Bristol declined as ore production waned, eventually becoming a ghost town.
