A collection of 7 Broadway theatre programs from the 1930s-50s, includes, Ethel Merman in "Call Me Madam," a Broadway musical written by Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse, with music & lyrics by Irving Berlin. Opened in 1950 at the Imperial Theatre on Broadway, with Merman as the lead. Merman also starred in the 1953 movie of the same name. Others include: Vincente Minelli's "The Show is On," 1936, with Beatrice Lillie & Bert Lahr; Michael Todd's "Star & Garter," 1942, with Bobby Clark & Gypsy Rose Lee; Robert E. Sherwood's "There Shall Be No Night," 1940, with Alfred Lunt, Lynn Fontaine & Sydney Greenstreet; Herman Wouk's "The Caine Mutiny Courtmartial," 1954, directed by Charles Laughton, starring Henry Fonda (not billed but in photos), Barry Sullivan, John Hodiak, Lloyd Nolan; Anne Nichols' "Abie's Irish Rose," 1937, Bertha Walden & Abe Gore; & Robinson Jeffers' adaptation of "Medea," 1947, Dame Judith Anderson. Anderson also played the title role in the 1959 TV play, "Medea," the first in a series called Play of the Week on the TV station WTNA. [
