Regular Size bronze die struck medal for the Mechanics Institute in San Francisco, who held industrial expositions annually for companies to show off their latest inventions, etc. (1 15/16", slightly larger than the silver medals) Designed By WR & HD Kuhner. Awarded to William Woodward for the second best display of plants and flowers. Nicely red toned, no edge dings, otherwise uncirculated. In original box dated 1882. California 1882 HWAC# 31726
