Entitled turtle toys, the piece is signed on the bottom by Charles Pratt and dated November 1975. Charles Pratt is a Native American bronze and turquoise artist born in 1937. He worked out of New Mexico for some time and his work is highly prized. The piece measures 7 1/2 inches long 2 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide. The eyes are made of red coral. This is a classic Native American representation of a desert tortoise, and is a true work of art. The tortoiseshell is adorned with 50 or more pieces of dark blue natural turquoise. [
