This is your chance to own a piece of American history. This Browning A-5 shotgun was one of the first automatic shotguns working on the Browning inertia principle S/N 302 built in the first month of the first year of A-5 production in 1903 in Belgium. This shotgun is marked as Browning Automatic Arms Co., Ogden, Ut.; John Browning's original home state. The stock is straight- without a pistol grip as in European style. It is in 12 gauge and thought to be full choked. This is the first Browning patent not accepted by Oliver Winchester which forced John Browning to go to Europe to have someone build his ingenious automatic principle firearm. Does not have smokeless proof marks.
