Official AFC "Buffalo" die side for the Super Bowl coin. The opposite side would be the Washington Redskins of the NFC, the eventual winner of this Super Bowl. The game was played in the Metrodome in Minneapolis. This particular game had such notable moments as Thurman Thomas, Buffalo`s star running back, missing the first 2 plays because he had misplaced his helmet. The process of "coining" is the stamping with the coin die, 1 of 2 dies required to stamp the inverse images to be struck on each different side of the coins. Made of hardened steel, it weighs 1.5 lbs. and dates to January 26, 1992. These are generally destroyed. A rare and unique find.
