Nice #1 stock certificate issued in 1899 to Edwin Corbin for 2,245 shares. Signed by French as president and Adams as secretary. Shares were $100 Each, so this came to $224,500. This left only five common shares authorized for issuance. It's likely that this is the only common stock certificate ever issued by this company, so it's very rare. Also, rare to see $1, $10 and $50 revenue stamps across the top. The Buffalo shipyard dated back to 1808 and was started by Nathan Bidwell. It was bought by American Ship Building Company in 1910 (shipbuildinghistory.com). Red pen cxled. ABN, New York Litho.
