This leather ammo belt is 4.5 in. wide and 53.50 in overall length. It has forty bullet loops in each of two rows. The maker in unknown, stamped "4530/ 97 1/2" and has no military inspection markings. This belt shows metal contact between the loops indicating a long rifle cartridge was used. This belt may have been used during the Buffalo hunting era of the 1880's where a .40-70 or .40-90 Sharps cartridge was likely used. Well used but cared for; the leather is still supple. A money belt pocket is visible under the buckle. This would be a must-have item to accompany your Buffalo gun. Please see photos for details. [
