#1026 for 100 shares to A. A. Bradford in 1907. Signed by J.P. Loftus as President. Loftus and James Davis discovered the mine and worked it themselves in the beginning. Loftus had a repudiation as an honorable man who made money at the Goldfield and Tonopah stocks, but was attacked by the local newspapers as a swindler. The Gold Bar was a gold deposit on the outskirts of the Bullfrog District about four miles out of Rhyolite. It was discovered at the same time as Bullfrog (1904) and by 1907 had a mill. There was a lawsuit with the Homestake Mine, an adjoining property. The Gold Bar fell victim to the Failure of the Sullivan Trust Company panic. (Ames Collection) Date 1906 Bullfrog, NV hwac 3807
