Handbook of American Indian Languages. Part I. Boas, Franz. Bulletin 40 (1911). One of the most notable developers of the field of anthropology, Boas taught at Columbia University until 1936. He is noted to have been the first professor of Anthropology at Columbia having mastered all four sub-disciplines of the field [columbia.edu]. This large volume (1069 pp.) contains complex illustrative language sketches by several contributors. Hardbound in green cloth. 6" x 9". Date 1911 , AZ hwac 2658
