Three ledgers for companies in Butte, Montana. A) Butte Carriage Works ledger circa 1915-1920. The Butte Carriage Works had a 22,000 square-foot building where they built and repaired custom wagons. This ledger contains records of the cost and selling price of various wagon parts like rims, coach beds, lumber, neck yokes, etc. There are also a few invoices pasted onto some of the pages. 12 x 9.5, approx. 30 pages, poor condition, pages are stained or torn, but most of the text is still legible. B) Butte companies ledger from 1891. Contains records of several companies in Butte including the State Savings Bank, Butte Hardware Company, Silver Bow National Bank, etc. This ledger contains payment records of the companies and indicates whether they paid by cash or credit. 12.5 x 7.75, approx. 300 pages, good condition. C) Union Bond and Mortgage Company ledger from the 1939-1943. This ledger contains records of bills payable, purchases, cash, interest received, rents received, and expenses. Some of the company's tax returns are inserted in pages throughout the book. 14 x 8.5, approx. 190 pages, fair condition, minor damage to spine and cover, some page edges are torn.
